Meet MJ - He has Hepatoblastoma (Liver Cancer)

He is a bubbly 3 year old little boy that suddenly became ill. His mum took him to the doctors and he was immediately taken into hospital for tests. He has since been diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, Liver Cancer. Fortunately the doctors feel that there is a chance he will be cured because they have caught it early, but he will have to undergo several weeks of Chemotherapy, and Liver resection and then further Chemotherapy.

I am sure you will agree that a child this age needs his parents by his side, to help him achieve a full recovery. To do this his parents need to take time off work meaning that they don’t get paid. The balance is work or spending time caring for their little boy, a definite decision I wouldn’t want to make.

What we are asking for is donations to help towards his parents being able to take time off to care for their little boy. Please help and donate.

Give this little boy a chance to have a full life with his parents by his side! Thank you.

Bobby Lowe was enjoying life as an 18 year old, he passed his driving test first time on the 13th October and was working hard on his 2nd year of his electrician apprenticeship, on the 20th October his world was torn apart by the devastating news that he has leukemia.

He has astounded us all by his positive attitude and has inspired his family and friends to follow his brave lead. Now we are focusing on the future and want to give Bobby a boost, to help him through what are going to be some very difficult times ahead, as well as alleviating any financial pressures brought on by his Mum Karen having to give up her job to care for Bobby.

The Rosehill Tavern in Westhoughton is holding fundraising events, and they thought this page would give people who know and care for Bobby and his family a way of donating to the cause. Bobby's family and friends thank you from the bottom of their hearts and they will be extremely touched and grateful for all your love and support at this difficult time.

Niki's family got in touch with us to see if we could help raise funds. We are going to help by holding and supporting some fundraising events.

Niki is 41 and lives in Chester with her 2 boys. She is also an amazing mum to two sons aged 14 and 12. She is currently being treated in Istanbul,Turkey for stage 4 cervical cancer which was not diagnosed by the NHS until they said it was too late to treat her. They have spent over £80k themselves as a family getting private treatment in Northumberland and Istanbul where the success rate of people receiving the all clear from stage 4 cancers is exceptionally high.

Before her cancer was diagnosed Niki was advised that the excruciating pain she was experiencing was healing from a previous operation. It was only when she was admitted to intensive care with sepsis due to an abscess on her cervix that the cancer was diagnosed as stage 2 and after 7 weeks in intensive care it had progressed to stage 4 at which point the NHS advised Niki that they would be unable to treat her as it was too advanced. Niki had been having yearly cervical smear tests and nothing was detected.

The treatment in Turkey is going well and Niki can feel that the tumour which was visible in her abdomen is now greatly reduced. She had a Pet CT scan to check treatment response at the end of October. She now needs further maintenance treatment in Turkey at a cost of £10k per trip.

Niki recently told family and friends that they have big “decisions” to make as the money is running out and she may not be able to continue with her life saving treatment.

We feel this is not an option, the boys need their Mum and she deserves the chance to watch them grow into men and have their own families.

Please give what you can, every penny counts towards Niki continuing her lifesaving treatment. And share share share.... Thank you from the bottom of Polly's Angels hearts and The Hitchens
